Two-day symposium Friday, 9/14: 8-8:30 am Registration and continental breakfast. 8:30-9:30 am Keynote address: "The Brain as a Source of Creativity," speaker Alan J. Lerner, MD.
Morning Session 1, held from 9:45-12:45: Two topic choices--"Weaving Art Therapy into Addiction Treatment" or "The Creative Process with Clients Experiencing Changes with Aging or Dementia."
Afternoon Session 2, held from 1:30-4:30. Two topic choices--"Traumatic Brain Injury" or "Solving the Puzzle: Childhood and Adolescent Cancer Therapy."
Saturday, 9/15: 8:30-9 am: registration and continental breakfast. 9:00-12:00 Noon. Topic: "Off the Beaten Path: Creative Approaches to Treatment for Children and Adolescents with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder."
Each workshop will include a physician from a major area hospital presenting on their health care specialty and an art therapist presenting a related case study and art experiential for participants bringing art and science together for an exciting learning experience for area health professionals.
CEU's and Professional Development available. Space is limited. Late registration fee after 9/8. |
